In my 17 and odd years of teaching experience, I have taught for thousands of students and could bring a huge difference to their academic levels as far as Maths, Physics, and Chemistry are concerned, by creating interest in the subjects. My main strength is to identify the areas where the student is lagging behind and teaching the fundamental concepts required and to build student's confidence in the subject taught. The first and foremost thing a tutor should do is to create interest in the subject that is being taught. The reason is simple, when the student is interested in learning the subject, a teacher's job is a cakewalk. A teacher should make the student believe that subjects like maths are pretty easy and interesting to learn. This can be done by teaching the basic concepts as some students might be having a problem with their basics which is making them think that the subject is difficult.
