What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I thoroughly enjoy the satisfaction you receive from teaching someone a new concept or helping them further develop a skill. It is so self rewarding watching someone develop their understanding of a concept and knowing that you were apart of that. I like the genuine connections you form as you tutor someone as it often feels as if you working together to understand something. Another aspect of tutoring that I enjoy is the fact that the students are ones that really care about their education and thus try hard and put in the effort to learn and do their upmost best.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
Some of my strengths as a tutor are that I am very patient and am happy to explain things over and over again if the student requires. I am also very good at explaining things in a simplistic manner and only going into the required amount of detail for that particular age. I am also a very positive person which I believe helps encourage students even if they are struggling. I am highly approachable and strongly encourage students to ask as many questions as they need.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I think one of the most important things a tutor can do is be encouraging towards a student; often students get tutoring in a subject they are struggling in and are already mentally finding it difficult so it is critical a tutor positively encourages them and reminds them of their improvement. It is also very important a tutor listens to the student and also the parents as they know what is best. I think it is also critical that the tutor puts in an effort to develop a relationship with the student whereby the student feels comfortable asking questions.
