I really enjoy getting to help other people- helping people understand things they want or need to understand lets me feel proud. I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to help them understand the course content- so they can pass assessment- and also to help them understand other aspects of the subject they need or want to understand, either for the sake of curiosity or because they have some use for it.
