What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I am passionate about helping people, and it is something that always brings me a sense of meaning and joy. There is nothing better than witnessing the progression of a student over time, when they are able to effectively and confidently tackle a problem that would have been very challenging in the past. Tutoring means I can deepen my own understanding of a broad range of topics and learn more about the world.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I am a very patient person, with a kind and open manner, which allows me to work with a diverse range of people, and also makes students feel comfortable and relaxed in my presence. My enthusiasm and personal love of learning is something that engages students, thus keeping them in the optimal state of mind for effective learning. I am passionate about positive psychology and always bring this into my teaching with frequent positive encouragement, keeping the spirits of the student high.
Most important things I can do for a student π
It is important for a tutor to identify the learning style of each student and tailor the teaching to suit their needs, and to give them ideas for how to study effectively on their own. Another principal factor is to boost the confidence of the student, and ideally to help them to develop a passion for learning that will persist for the rest of their lives.
