What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Just the pure joy when a child 'gets it'. Specially kids who are 'scared' and hate maths. When you're able to make them finally solve questions by themselves and get correct answer it's amazing. If I can build a child self confidence and make them understand the value of maths then it's better than any job in the world. Children ALWAYS remember and love their best teachers for life. They'll bless you and you know you've made a big difference not only in their life but for Australia and the whole world I guess. But it's also a big responsibility and quite stressful sometimes, I must admit.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Understanding child psychology. My aim isn't to make them PhD students and enter Ivy League colleges. I would be honest with the parents to understand what their child could achieve in maths, but that doesn't mean the child is 'failure' at all in life. My goal is to make sure they have a good understanding of maths which is essential in life regardless of whatever they become; lawyers, doctors, businessmen, artists, singers, cooks etc. All children a different and it's because of a multitude of factors - both nature and nurture. So I understand child psychology, patience and understand them

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

It's to understand the student and guide them to be the best student, person and then onwards a great upstanding productive citizen of Australia. In order to do that a teacher always need to inspire and give the child confidence in themselves. Even though I was a maths teacher they need not excel in Maths to become an Engineer (it's certainly not the end-all and be-all case here in Australia or most of the western world). There's thousands of stories about successful people who didn't do well in school. But it's important they at least have a good grasp of maths basics and fundamentals.
