What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I enjoy helping people where I can. Math is a subject I especially enjoy tutoring, because I have learned the value of knowing math after having struggeled with it from time to time myself at the university. The feeling you get when you finally master an advanced concept in math; I want others to experience that. That is also why I above here stated that I would prefer tutoring the earlier levels. Too many people give up on math way too early. I have heard so many saying "maths just isn't for me". I think that is wrong! Everyone can learn math and be good at it. That is where I want to help.My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
I can use many different approaches to a problem or a concept in order to make it more understandable. This is because I have much experience myself with learning higher level math. I have also gotten really good feedback from the people I have tutored informally. One other strenght I have is that I am very patient. I think this is crucial when tutoring math, because the ammount of time students need in order to learn vary a lot!Most important things I can do for a student ๐
Learning is a dynamic process. When a student reads a book and don't quite understand what the book is trying to say, the book can't help with that. The book is static. The student can however turn to a tutor and ask for a better or a different explenation. A tutor can also help a student planning and organizing the learning. For instance, the student may wonder how to study for a specific test or exam, or just want to know how to learn the most on a day to day basis.
