What do I enjoy most about tutoring? π
I have a passion for Mathematics and anything Science. Tutoring is a good way for me to help others not only understand the subject, but also enjoy learning about it too. It was such a rewarding experience to watch students grow and become confident in their studies during tutoring sessions. It was an even better feeling to see the students grades improve at school/University.
My Strengths as Tutor πͺ
I believe I am an easy-going, approachable person and do not make students feel intimidated. As a tutor, I believe that students need to feel comfortable to speak up if lessons are going too fast or if a concept doesn't make sense. Knowledge cannot be built if basic understanding isn't there.
Its also important to realise that not all students are the same. Knowing your students' attributes and weaknesses, as well as knowing how they learn is vital for long-term improvement. Working with several different students has taught me how to do this.
Most important things I can do for a student π
Ensuring that a student has basic skills underlying future knowledge is essential for growth and success in every subject. It is also important to teach the student how to communicate any trouble they may be having, and also to have confidence in their work under test/exam conditions.
