What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love being able to explain something to another, in a way they can understand it. It is incredibly rewarding to see the light bulb moment my students understand a concept they previously struggled with and become more confident in themselves. Not to mention, teaching others is the best way to learn, and by tutoring others I learn more about not only the subject, but also myself as a tutor.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My biggest strength as a tutor is my patience and willingness to go over concepts as many times as necessary so that my students have a better understanding. I also make sure to be positive and encouraging and help my students to build up confidence in their skills and knowledge.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think being positive and encouraging is the best thing a tutor can do. With previous students I have tutored, I found that many of them lacked the confidence in themselves, making them less interested in the work and anxious about assessments. But breaking the question/concept down, encouraging them to try, suggesting different methods to approach the problem and reminding them of their existing knowledge worked very well with many of them to build their confidence, therefore improved their performance in their subjects
