What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Over the past few years I have discovered having a passion for teaching. From helping fellow students, friends, and others, I have loved developing a relationship through support and encouragement. Seeing the other person build their confidence with my assistance is something I find incomparably valuable.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor is that I can able to make the other person feel comforted and supported in their learning. I also have a lot of patience, and make sure the other person feels comfortable to ask whatever questions they have even if it is the same question asked, because I want them to understand that I want to see them succeed and their success is my success.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider empathy, support, and patience to be core qualities tutors can offer students. With empathy, a tutor can help students feel comfortable in being honest, distressed by external factors, and other obstacles they may have to overcome in their learning journey. Patience and support go hand-in-hand with one another as by showing patience, the student can feel supported and confident, that their tutor on want them to succeed. Overall, by simply showing endless support, the student will develop a relationship with the tutor and everything else follows.

Nothing stood out in particular that requires improvement as there was not a lot to cover.

In her original attempt she displayed she understood some concepts but by the end when we went through all the questions I ensured she undertsood all the topics as I would have her explain back to me how she got her answers, etc.
Again, nothing appeared she needed improvement on as once we went through it, she was able to confidently complete the homework and how we got from A to B.

For Mia, I noticed she tend to second guess herself and requires reassurance prior to feeling confident in completing the rest of the questions on her own. For Charlotte, I noticed that she tends to get distracted easily and when distracted she wouldn't listen. I would try to redirect her and after a few attempts she would eventually proceed with the task.
