What do I enjoy most about tutoring? šŸ˜

It's like a challenging job. Students come daily with new questions. I enjoy when they ask questions and i help them out to figure out their answers.

My Strengths as Tutor šŸ’Ŗ

One of my better attributes is Iā€™m great with getting to now the student and helping the student feel comfortable with working with me. This allows time for the student and myself to communicate about what is need in the conference. I like to give complements to encourage the student to keep writing, and I think it instills confidence of their own writing abilities.

Most important things I can do for a student šŸ…

Tutors fill a different role than teachers and parents, and that puts them in a unique position to support students. Personal relationships are foundational to student success -- the more connected a student feels to his or her tutor, the more the tutor creates trust and respect, essential ingredients for students to learn well. When a tutor listens and spends time building a relationship with his or her student, that tutor can: Truly personalize the learning Incorporate connections to the student's interests Teach to the student's strengths Minimize the student's weaknesses
