What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoyed the most about tutoring is the interaction with the student, making sure that they understood all the concepts of the subject that the curriculum embedded. It is a very rewarding feeling when you accomplish that and also maintaining a professional relationship with the student.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strengths as a tutor would be great listening skills, the biggest challenge for a tutor is to figure out where the student had trouble and went wrong in order to find a solution and fix it. Furthermore, I need to have a wide range of vocabulary and clear communication in order to explain the subject/topic to the student so they can understand and apply. Being a tutor also means understanding every student's needs, I am great at making a strategic plan for every learning individual to make it easier for them to grasp the material in their own understanding.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to have patience and persistence. These are the most important skills that a tutor needs to develop. In many subjects like Maths, it takes time for the student to understand and master the concepts. Tutoring is a short-term learning strategy for a student to gain confidence and learning skills. If it was done properly, students would be able to unpack all the skills that they had learnt from their tutor and will no longer need assistance.
