What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring is very fulfilling for me, since you see the improvement in your student's grade and you know that you have made a difference in someone's life! They learned something from you and this will help them grow and succeed further.
I also volunteered as a tutor for English at an NGO in India where I taught English grammar to underprivileged children and how to communicate in English. Due to my volunteering abilities I was later offered a permanent job at Pratham (name of the NGO) as an External Relations and Communication Coordinator. Teaching for Pratham gave me a sense of purpose!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am patient, understanding and a very good listener. I understand the needs of the student and listen to what they have to say and understand which areas they would need to focus on. Based on that I would tutor them on the areas that trouble them and put in my best effort to help them understand the concepts. It is essential to be patient with your student because not everyone is able to grasp concepts as easily.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
It is important to make the student feel comfortable when you are tutoring them. When they are comfortable, they would be more open to explaining themselves to you about concepts they don't understand. This would then make it easier for the tutor to explain the concept and help them understand it better! Another important aspect is how you simplify the concepts and how you explain it to your student. It should be done in a manner that is easy to understand. The tutor should be able to clarify the student's doubts.
