What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

It's inspiring when I see students improve over the months as a result of my teaching and guidance and lots of hard work on their part. It's also heartening to see them genuinely enjoy a subject more because they're finally able to work through their frustrations and anxieties.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I'm an incredibly patient person and I'm willing to break down problems and explain them in a way that is easy to understandâ€â€sometimes students get frustrated when studying and become stuck by looking at a problem from a single perspective. I help them realise that they actually are equipped with the knowledge to answer difficult questions and only need guidance to start looking at problems from a different perspective. Additionally, I have excellent interpersonal skills and can gauge when the person I'm speaking to wants me to slow down or if they think I'm repeating myself.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor should teach their student how to think. They shouldn't be teaching them to rote memorise (although there is a place for that in high school academics) but rather a general method of solving problems. When a tutor's work is done, their student should be able to look at a difficult problem, identify what kind of a problem it is and apply the techniques their tutor has taught them for that specific kind of problem.
