What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I like teaching people how to reason mathematically. Not only does improved problem solving ability aid people in all areas of life, it benefits society as a whole since voters who think logically make better decisions.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I am patient and I feel I am able to break down problems into more manageable parts.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

For high school students, I find that the most important thing a tutor can do is to build a student's confidence in their own abilities. More often than not, I hear student's say that they don't know what they're doing, which can hold them back from trying their best. It's a fact of psychology that people tend to sabotage their own efforts when they're sure they will fail regardless. The way around this is to focus in on specific areas and gradually build up the student's confidence until they can tackle the problem as a whole.
