What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
I love passing on the knowledge and methods i spent hours developing during the HSC. Tutoring students allows me to interact with many different students in different stages of learning and teach them this.
It's a very satisfying feeling when I am able to explain a concept succinctly or provide new perspective through different methods to a problem.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
My biggest strength would definitely be clarity in explanation. I believe that there is always a way to tailor an explanation to a student. E.g. explaining simple harmonic motion as comparable to a spring, where it the displacement always stays between a range.
Additionally, My experience with a wide range of questions and multiple methods of solving them allows me to cover all questions students may have as well as teaching multiple ways of solving problems.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
The most important thing a tutor could do for a student would be proactively diagnosing their student's weaknesses. Many students will have their array of weaknesses e.g. Struggling with the concepts in projectile motion. It is the role of the tutor to identify these issues and figure out a solution, usually through repetition of similar questions.
Also, the tutor is responsible for fostering a friendly learning environment where the student has both an actual appreciation for the content they are learning and can also freely ask questions.
