What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the challenge of discovering how each student learns and then tailoring my teaching method to what suits them best. It is always a pleasure to see how students begin to understand concepts and the confidence that they gain once they have mastered them. I find tutoring an incredibly rewarding job that I am very passionate about.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

One of my biggest strengths is my ability to simplify a message so that it can be more easily understood. I believe that the most effective way to teach a student is to try and give them the tools so that they can figure as much of a problem as possible out for themselves. This way once they have learnt how to solve a problem they can apply the method to other problems and have the same success. I pride myself on my ability to teach students how to solve a particular type of question through developing problem solving skills rather than just teaching them how to solve each individual problem.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I believe that the most important thing that a tutor can do for a student is for the student to walk away from the lesson feeling more confident about their ability. Confident students who trust their knowledge are more likely to be able to think clearly under the pressure of tests and exams.
