What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

For about 3 years I've worked as a swim instructor teaching young kids how to navigate the water... and loved it. My favorite thing about this type of teaching/tutoring is seeing the student meet their goals, and be shocked about it. Sometimes we all just need a little bit of guidance, but to reap the reward with the student is so satisfying and fulfilling! I am ALWAYS so proud, and it is so fun giving that praise to the students for their hard work.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am an excellent listener, which is essential in being a tutor. You must be able to understand and be kind with the student, especially when they are having a hard time grasping a concept. Patience is also key. I am locked in on giving the student all the support and tools they may need, no matter how long it takes. Plus, it needs to be fun! No one is going to learn or enjoy their time if they're miserable, so I work to make sure every lesson or concept I teach is done intentionally and lightheartedly.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

A tutor needs to be flexible and creative. It is easy for students to not understand things in the way you mainly teach, so it's important for the tutor to find new solutions and ideas to help the student learn. Making it fun, easy, and achievable is also important. For the majority of students, getting tutoring can help so much (just as it did for me), and it's vital that a tutor is adaptable, easy, and kind, as well as creative and fun.
