What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I have done tutoring for my siblings and friends so I have enjoyed seeing an increase in confidence as time progresses, and the relief they feel once they understand a concept they were once extremely uncomfortable with. It is rewarding to see that I can use my knowledge to help others.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength in tutoring is understanding. As a younger student, I was not always as confident in mathematics, and understand how frustrating it can be to not understand a concept. Using this experience, I know the importance of being patient and making the student feel as though it is okay to make mistakes and learn how to prevent those mistakes the next time.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider making the tutoring session a relaxed, relatively casual setting as one of the most important things a tutor can do. This way the student can focus solely on doing maths rather than being nervous about their surroundings. I also think it is extremely important that a tutor quickly understands how the student best learns and adapts their teaching style to suit the student's needs.
