The biggest things a student can have their tutor do are to make the student feel assured, adapt their learning style to the student's, and demystify hard concepts. A student was struggling with algebra and felt discouraged. My goal was to help him understand the concepts and build their confidence. So, I broke down the problems into simple steps, used real-life examples, and adapted my teaching style to match their learning pace.
