What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I have always valued education as a former HSC student at a selective school. My academic journey has taught me the importance of tailoring learning strategies to different subjects and topics, a skill I look forward to applying in this role. Tutoring allows me to combine my passion for the subject with my passion for teaching, making it a fulfilling experience as a university student.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have strong interpersonal skills that enable me to connect with others effectively and foster positive learning environments. My experience as a part-time marker at Pre-Uni allowed me to develop clear and constructive communication, ensuring that feedback was both helpful and encouraging for students. I also excel in active listening, which helps me understand the specific needs of students and tailor explanations accordingly and establish trust to ensure that students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with the learning process.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe purposeful tutoring stems from communication and collaboration which my previous roles as a piano concert host and part time pre uni marker have highlighted as significant. As a part-time marker at Pre-Uni, I gained valuable insight into students' study approaches. Assessing their work helped me identify common challenges and understand the importance of personalised feedback in fostering improvement. This role also sharpened my attention to detail and ability to deliver constructive criticism effectively
