What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the process of watching others grow and learn, and helping them realise their potential as a student under the right guidance. Giving people the intellectual confidence in themselves and the ability to experience pride in their own work is an amazing privilege. Furthermore, some students aren't compatible with the traditional schooling system, and require specialised/specific guidance. Giving them what they need and watching them realise they're more capable than they think is a great enjoyment in of itself.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I've always been told I'm good at explaining things, and I consciously teach in a way that's tailored to each persons level of understanding, learning style, and thought process. I understand that everyone learns differently, but firmly believe everyone is capable of enjoying the process of learning. I utilise visuals, analogies, real world applications, and thought-provoking questions to ensure that whatever I'm teaching is engaging and specific to each student. Beyond just teaching content, I also prioritise forming connections and building rapport, which I regard as paramount for effective tutoring. My goal is to not just help get the right answers, but deepen their understanding and benefit them long-term.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

- Building a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing frustration - Willingness to adapt to students learning style - Ensuring students gain a deep understanding of the relevant topic - Giving students confidence in themselves - Teaching the correct information and answering questions effectively - Being patient and not making the student feel inadequate in any way - Encourage independent learning and critical-thinking skills
