What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing the look on students faces when they go "Wow I get it now! This is easier than I thought!" I remember when I was tutoring a boy in the past, he had difficulty understanding how to expand brackets using the explanation that teachers gave him. When I explained a different way to understand it he exclaimed "Wow I get it now, if only the teacher could explain it this way!" My own experience (found it hard to understand things at one point, but after I found the right way to study and build up work experience, I discovered learning is easier than I thought), also helps.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As someone who has been in education for a long time and sometimes struggle to understand concepts myself before mastering them, my biggest strength is to help students find explanations which relates to them, so they can understand the concepts in a way which makes sense to them. My experience also means I am empathetic, and able to relate to students' frustrations when they struggle with academics.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Equip them with the ability to eventually solve problems independently. At the end of the day, the role of tutoring is to help students foster independent thinking so they can overcome academic challenges on their own, because being self-sufficient is important. Also, I try to foster enthusiasm in the subjects being taught, so students can explore the subject by studying it further or consider a career from it if they wish. If they are enthusiastic about what they do, then they can overcome difficulties along the way much more easily.
