What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being able to explain a concept in such a way that any person can understand and apply it as a challenge. So accomplishing that is the greatest joy you can obtain as a tutor!
I enjoy helping students as a STEM major because I want to spread awareness to the fact that anyone can do these subjects, no one is born special.
Especially with Mathematics, some students have a phobia or just believe they cannot do it, helping them feels very rewarding.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have tutored neurodiverse students in the past and helped them with their studies so I am comfortable with explaining the same concepts in different ways or to find completely novel ways to communicate something!
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
It sounds basic but it is a common error made by tutors.
Making sure that the student understands more than just how to solve the problem. That they understand the underlying concepts behind every problems they do.
Even if they do not wish to pursue the field in the future, understanding the concepts will give them the confidence to approach all problems.
Some students still overlook it to focus on the strategy to obtain the most marks, and having all concepts clear is the best strategy!
