What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I love most about tutoring is that moment when something finally clicks for someone—when their eyes light up, and you can almost see the confidence building in real time. I enjoy the challenge of figuring out how someone thinks and finding the best way to explain things so it actually makes sense to them. Everyone learns differently, so it’s never a one-size-fits-all approach, and I love that.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think my biggest strengths as a tutor are patience, adaptability, and making things actually make sense in a way that doesn’t feel boring or overwhelming. If someone doesn’t get something, I don’t just keep explaining it the same way—I switch it up, use examples that actually relate to them, or break it down differently until it clicks. I like figuring out how people think and adjusting my approach to match. I’m also expatient. I get that learning can be frustrating, and I never want anyone to feel dumb for not understanding something right away.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

For me, the most important things a tutor can do are build the student’s confidence, make the material feel relevant, create a supportive environment, be patient, and encourage problem-solving skills. Confidence is a huge part of learning—when students believe in themselves, they’re more motivated to tackle challenges. I focus on encouraging them and celebrating their progress, no matter how small. Making the material relevant is equally important. If a student doesn’t see how what they’re learning connects to their life or interests, it can be hard to stay engaged. I try to bring in examples
