What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I most enjoy seeing students answering questions confidently after I teach them. Seeing them believing in themselves and being able to work independently to solve problems after learning a new topic motivates me as a tutor to continue to expand their knowledge, and lets me know how to cater to their required pace of learning.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have tried and tested numerous study methods and have faced academic failures and successes. These experiences motivate me to spread my knowledge and provide the best guidance possible to students. I believe I am a caring person who understands being in a student's position, no matter where they may be placed academically, and thus can cater for all student needs and academic levels. I also know what it feels like to "fall behind" while learning, so I believe I have a great understanding of pacing students' learning to ensure maximum retention of their learning material.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Although learning content is extremely important, I believe the greatest services a tutor can provide is thoughtful guidance in enforcing excellent study habits and working through numerous practice questions to consolidate the student's knowledge. It is also important for the tutor to encourage spaced repetition for long term retention of their learning material. A tutor should differ from school teachers, who have the responsibility of teaching large classes, and become a kind mentor for students, encouraging them to confidently ask questions and inform the tutor about their needs.
