What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy making seemingly difficult topics easy to understand by illustrating step-by-step processes and simple ways of memorisation that can be efficiently applied when responding to questions. I value building strong connections with students and seeing their confidence rise upon being better able to grasp certain topics. Being able to help foster understanding not only in the short term, but for future academic endeavours is also something I really treasure.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

As someone with experience both in informal tutoring and working with young children, I understand the need to be sensitive, personable and form connections in order to teach effectively. I value putting academic content into easily understandable frameworks that can then be applied to a series of practice and genuine questions. I also approach tutoring in a non-judgemental way, focusing on attending to a student's specific needs in order for them to learn most effectively.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Meeting the student at the level they are at, and approaching tutoring sessions without unfair expectations or judgement. Fostering a genuine connection throughout tutoring in order for the student to feel comfortable and more receptive to learning. Creating unique ways of understanding most suitable to each student, rather than applying one framework to all students.
