What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Although I do not have experience in commercial tutoring, I enjoy helping students grow and achieve their personal best. Through my experience as an informal tutor for my younger siblings, I have found it incredibly rewarding to see their progress and confidence develop over time. Furthermore, encouraging a love for learning and making subjects interesting and helping students enjoy the learning process is a great feeling. Also, understanding each students unique learning style and catering lessons for them in that way is very engaging.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my enthusiasm to see students grow is a major strength and serves as a driving force for success in this role. Through taking on leadership positions in high school and tutoring my siblings, I have had experience with younger students and how to build connections with them, communicate with them effectively. Furthermore, my results in HSC mathematics highlight that I have an in-depth understanding of mathematical concepts. This also reflects my ability my dedication to academics, and this motivation can be used to inspire students to achieve their goals.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is understand that every student is different, and requires a different style of teaching and the same thing will not always work for every student. Another thing is creating a supportive and comfortable environment for the student where they feel comfortable speaking up about their doubts. That being said, some students will not always ask questions so it is important for the tutor to encourage them to ask questions.
