As a recent graduate, I truly understand the challenges that come with studying, managing coursework, and preparing for exams. Having recently navigated these experiences myself, I can relate to the struggles and know the most effective ways to overcome them. This firsthand insight makes me the perfect fit to help students with practical advice, proven study techniques, and a supportive approach.
With over a year of experience as a private tutor, I’ve worked with a diverse range of students, tailoring lessons to meet their individual needs and helping them reach their academic goals. During my time as a tutor, I’ve successfully facilitated one-on-one sessions, ensuring each student feels supported and confident in their learning. In addition, I’ve assisted many of my peers during their HSC studies, helping them pass their exams—while managing my own studies at the same time. This experience has not only strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts but also developed my skills in time management, adaptability, and student-centered teaching.
I have a deep passion for both math and science, and I find great joy in learning and teaching these subjects. Whether it's unraveling complex equations or exploring the wonders of scientific concepts, I love helping students overcome challenges and build a strong understanding. My goal is to make these subjects engaging and accessible, so students not only improve their skills but also develop a genuine interest and confidence in them.

Tristan was quite able to answer the Perimeter questions independently. Although at first, when dealing with how to find a point on a line, he was unsure of it, towards the end of the lesson I could see his understanding improve.
I think more practice on finding if a point is on a line will definitely be beneficial (I will post a worksheet on google classroom) as his understanding of the topic does need improvement. Also more practice on using algebraic equations in various questions (such as Perimeter) can also be improved - which we can work on in the future.

Tristan was able to more comfortably solve for x in algebraic equations - however there is still room for improvement. I was also happy with Tristan's ability to quickly grasp and sketch linear graphs using a table of values.
Tristan should practice solving for x in algebraic equations so that his skills in the area can improve.

Although Tristan seemed a bit unfamiliar with graphing linear equations, we went to the basics - solving for x - which at first he stated he only understood at a level of 3/10. However as we worked through questions that number went to an 8. I am pleased with Tristan's ability to independently work on linear equations and solving for x.
Sketching linear equations. Parts of a graph. More practice on solving algebraic equations would be helpful before moving on to graphing.
