He needs to be more cautious of the nature of the question. He needs to remember, what the question entails, what its asking you to do, and what the question has given you to achieve that result. From there, the maths is all about the method that takes you to your answer.

Josh gets confused between the units involved in these problems. Its helpful to write the units with their numbers whilst working out the problem. I also advise that he must know the valid formula or method of each question he faces.

He seems to completely understand some problems and correctly answers them at times. Yet, he may do similar questions and go off track or make a simple mistake like not accunting for units or using multiplication instead of division. He needs to recognise the patt3erns in questions. Generally, math questions dont reinvent the wheel, most are common and follow a set structure. If he revises on questions he has done and knows are correct, he can commit the method to memory to make similar questions easier and quicker to answer.
