What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Whilst I have no formal or informal tutoring experience, I've always genuinely enjoyed helping my peers and the children I've babysat with their work purely because I think it's so inspiring to see something click in their head, when they finally reach that level of understanding and fly through whatever it is they're struggling with.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I'm pretty creative in my methods in that I've almost always been able to ascertain the best way to teach someone, understanding their thought process and changing the way I would teach in order to best suit them. I also am more than willing to do my own research if there is something neither of us know how to do in order to learn it and then teach them.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Building a proper connection with the student in order to get them to trust and listen to you is inarguably the most important thing a tutor can do for a student. Once that relationship is built, the student and tutor can not only pass but excel in their given subject thanks to that built trust. It can really fast-track a struggling student.

About Christopher

Personality

Don't be discouraged or concerned, how I can come across is certainly not how I am. I've been told I can look cranky but don't fret, I'm actually really nice and bubbly, and am more than happy to talk about nothing for ages or something so niche it doesn't even make sense.

Style

Admittedly I can look a bit dishevelled sometimes but I am a massive advocate for being comfortable so if you want to wear sweatpants or just wrap up in a blanket during our classes that's more than fine (as long as you get what you need to done). I'll definitely be wearing what makes me comfortable so I strongly encourage you to do the same.

Hobbies

I could be considered a bit of a nerd when it comes to my interests, I enjoy board and card games, DND, and I'm studying psychology so naturally I have a strong interest in that.
