What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The most enjoyable aspect of tutoring is the ability to help others through transferring my knowledge and passion for the subject. It gives me a sense of satisfaction seeing the gradual growth and continuous improvement of my students, as they become confident in their academic performance. From their initial uncertainty and dislike in the subject, they become more engaged in class, and are willing to ask questions to satisfy their curiosity. This makes me proud, as their tutor, their mentor, by seeing how my teaching can impact on students.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I believe I am equipped with patience and communication skills that I have developed through my previous experience as a student tutor volunteer. When tutoring younger students, I would adapt to their learning style through using simple terms and clear definitions to explain key concepts. This allows for better understanding, as well as paint myself as a more approachable tutor. I am also willing to actively listen to their struggles, offering guidance to empower them to achieve their goals.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things a tutor can do for a student is continual support and encouragement. When students are faced with difficulties such as hard questions they are unable to tackle, I will provide them with guidance, gradually steering them to the correct answer. To reinforce their understanding, I will also use visualisation and personalised examples to explain key concepts. I will ensure to tailor my teaching methods to suit each student's learning style, hoping to help them learn more efficiently and effectively.
