What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I enjoy most is helping students to discover their potential by transforming moments of confusion into moments of clarity. I love engaging in thought-provoking conversations about texts, ideas, and more, across all age groups, especially if it inspires others to think critically and creatively. Tutoring, for me, is about more than just helping someone pass an exam; it is about fostering confidence, encouraging curiosity, and celebrating progress — no matter how small.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I have experience tutoring students across all age groups, from 5 to 18 years of age. With my past experience in leadership as an SRC captain, robotics leader, as well as experience in teamwork through my 11 years of participating in my schools swimming team, I have gained skills such as confidence, collaboration, communication, and patience, which is one of the most vital skills as a tutor, in order to help a student to grasp concepts.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important thing a tutor can do is to empower students to become independent learners. This involves building confidence, critical thinking skills, and resilience during challenges. It is about giving tools to approach problems with curiosity and determination, even when they are outside their comfort zone. A tutor should also create a safe and encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Learning happens most effectively when students feel supported rather than judged.
