What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being able to mentor any student I have the pleasure to work with work with. I find great fulfilment in being able to act as a role model for all of my students rather than JUST a teacher. So to put simply l, I enjoy the personal aspect of one on one tutoring, allowing me to more easily depict and observe weekly progress.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My ability to explain concepts in a variety of different ways which specifically cater to the student and their needs. I am patient and understanding even if my student takes a while to fully grasp what I am speaking about. Furthermore, I find it quite easy to adapt to the type of personality my student may have and this essentially dictates the way in which I approach speaking with them so that they feel welcomed and not overwhelmed during the early sessions I spend with them.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Like I briefly mentioned earlier, I think it is important to look at being a mentor rather than a teacher. It is a far more personal and direct experience working with one or maybe a few students at a time rather than an entire classroom, so it is vital to establish actual relationships with your students and ensure that they can apply the work ethic and persistence needed during their tutoring sessions to broader areas in their life.
