What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing the students grow both academically and personally, developing skills that can aid them further in life. This is the most rewarding aspect for me as it is a tangible representation of not only my hard work but also the students hard work and dedication towards improving themselves paying off. It is a strong motivating factor for me, and drives me to continue putting stronger efforts into tutoring.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I feel that my ability to communicate is one of my key strengths, specifically my ability to explain complicated concepts in a simple and relatable way. My ability to empathize with and understand students as well is a key strength which comes especially well to me as I took the equivalent of extension 2 maths in my IB program meaning there were often times I didn’t understand topics instantly and had to get it explained repeatedly.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think one of the most important things a tutor can is be patient and considerate with their students. For example, when I was being tutored, I felt like some tutors were impatient and it occasionally made me scared to ask questions when my tutors would become impatient with me. I think that being patient with the students allows them to understand that you are there to support them and help them with whatever they are struggling with which is a key goal in tutoring.
