What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Being part of a student's journey to success and preparing the next generation of students to learn effectively and excel in the future
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I have been tutored before and experienced several excellent methods that have helped break down difficult concepts, which I have then used to help friends learn concepts they struggle with. Another strength I have is being able to quickly distinguish if a child understands a concept the way I am teaching them and if not, being able to quickly change how I teach them or simplify the information into more understandable language.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Support the students no matter how much they struggle, constantly check in on their understanding and their concentration, share their own experiences and struggles with students and form a connection with the students so that they can trust the tutor and be more open on their academic struggles.

Poppy demonstrated an adeptness to calculating a lot of the questions without help or prompt, rarely messing up apart from some times where she had to order some values and misread which side was highest and lowest.
Struggled a bit with converting measurement values and ordering them due to her only being briefly introduced to it for one class but was able to figure out most of it after some explaining and guides.

Was able to utilise some strategies she learnt in school to solve a lot of the larger multiplication and division questions. Struggled a bit with area calculation but was able to remember most of it after some thinking. No struggle with the rounding questions.
There were two area calculation questions with decimal values that Poppy struggled with but was able to understand a bit better after some explaining on how and where to position the decimal point.

Daniel was able to solve a lot of the questions and some trick/hard ones we hadn't previously covered he was able to solve or get up to a very good point before getting confused.
Struggled a bit a simultaneous equation and graphing questions but was able to solve them after I provided an explanation and visual guide.
Daniel showed strong proficiency in solving most questions while having a good understanding of what he had to do for the difficult ones he marked for us to cover.

Struggled a bit on the cubic inequalities and how to find the equation of a quartic function from 4 points but after some careful explaining of how we solved equations similar to these ones back when we covered quadratics, Daniel was able to understand and solve the equations without much difficulty.
