What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy most is seeing students progress and find confidence in the given subject. Typically student's parents book private tutors when they are struggling in a given subject, so they may have lower confidence in the subject. I love trying to build that confidence back up!
Also I enjoy learning through teaching, discovering new perspectives through the students. Learn by teaching!
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think I'm very good at trying to learn about the student, and finding ways to make the material more engaging for that particular student. Granted it's not always possible, but finding soft ways to remind the student why the general subject can help them pursue their personal interests and hobbies. Like how mathematics can help understanding music in new ways.
I think I also am very good at helping students whose first languages aren't English. Coming from a non-English background myself, I have struggled with language issues in my own learning, but have figured out some ways to overcome.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Restoring confidence, and building up as much knowledge with the student to allow them to approach a subject with ease.
Also finding ways for the student to start to organically "enjoy" (as best they can) the given subject.
And of course ensure that the student has the mental tools and knowledge to pass an exam or test in the given subject so that they can succeed in the school environment.
