What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy seeing the moment when the student experiences a “light bulb moment†as the cogs that underlie the mathematics I am teaching them, “clickâ€. I find this moment very rewarding and how after several of these moments, you begin to see vast improvements in their mathematical understanding. I enjoy the connection you form with the student as well. I also love to share my passion for maths and by having a job involving maths (tutoring), it gives me an excuse to do even more maths outside of my own studies.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

My strengths as a tutor is my ability to make the student at ease with my friendly manor. I am able to encourage them to try their best without being overbearing. I have just complete VCE specialist and methods with the new course. Hence I have the most update advice and tips for my students. I completed around 80 practice exams across the two subjects in preparation for my exams. I have specific calculator tricks which I found extremely helpful and is great strength that I am eager to share. One of my strengths is being able to simplify and expand mathematical concepts in my tutoring.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing as a tutor is to share your passion with student. The most effective learning occurs when the student is engaged, invested and passionate in the subject you are teaching. Forming a professional, friendly relationship with the student is key in achieving this. Although improvements in a certain topic of maths benefits the student for the term. Instilling a passion for the subject will benefit their academics for years to come. Hence, it is the most important thing a tutor can do.
