What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

Tutoring can be one of the most impactful learning experiences in a student's life; through private and group tutoring, I believe students can be extended and encouraged to think profoundly in many fields of study. I think tutoring is also a great way to extend my own education and skills as a guide for younger students; consolidating foundational knowledge and helping students extend their learning in areas specifically mathematics (my favourite!) would be a very fulfilling and interesting job for me to have.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

I think my strengths lie in breaking down topics into its fundamental building blocks, allowing for me to create a foundation to enhance and improve learning in the specific field. For example, in maths learning, the basic foundational skills such as algebra, trigonometry, and essential rules and guidelines are crucial when wanting to study mathematics at a higher level such as extension 1 in year 11 and so forth.

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

I believe the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to adapt their teaching to suit the student's learning style to ensure proper engagement and understanding of the topics. As well, I think a tutor should be compassionate and patient; maintaining a positive and reliable relationship with the student is integral to learning in my opinion - a solid connection with your teacher encourages you to engage in the topic more, provoking interest, and hence, an enhanced learning environment.
