What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐Ÿ˜

I take great satisfaction in helping students overcome any confusion and to help them gain clarity on confusing topics. Having personally experienced the feeling of walking out of a classroom needing further assistance, I understand the value of having someone be there to provide dedicated support. Math or science based concepts can be complex, and it can be challenging when a teacher doesnโ€™t go into the finer details or offer personalised assistance. Through tutoring, I aim to offer comprehensive and genuine guidance to ensure that students are not left behind due to these barriers.

My Strengths as Tutor ๐Ÿ’ช

My strengths revolve around creating a supportive and open environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and express any uncertainties they have. I am patient and empathetic, and my ability to break down difficult concepts into manageable steps ensures that students grasp the material at their own pace. Additionally, I incorporate short breaks when necessary as I understand the importance this has on maximising attention and minimising burnout.

Most important things I can do for a student ๐Ÿ…

I find that addressing the finer parts that students find more challenging is essential for a tutor. While students may have already covered the concepts in class, the learning process is often not tailored to their individual needs. A tutors role is to adopt a more personalised approach, taking the time to understand each studentโ€™s unique level of skill and area of uncertainty. This allows for a more targeted and effective learning experience that is customised to meet the students specific needs.
