What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Tutoring is an enjoyable experience mainly because you get to see how much your students have improved over the teaching period. I also like to open up new perspectives and teach students a variety of different ways a maths problem could be solved and help them apply their knowledge to understand why their learning is so important to real life.
Passing on my knowledge to other students ensures that they get the extra assistance that they need and I like seeing the students' confidence build up, as I provde them with my many VCE/University experiences.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
From informal tutoring sessions with my peers and other class members in my VCE classes, my main strength is that I have effective communication which means that I respond quickly and clearly to students who may be in need of any assistance. I also care a lot about each individual and ensure that they fully understand all of my explanations so that they are better prepared for future assessments. This also means that I take my time with explanations and draw real life applications to ensure that the students fully understand the content that they engage with.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Adapting to change is one of the most important things that a tutor can do for a student. There are always changes in the moments of student's learning such as being in a different classroom environment and also having to work with a variety of different students with unique goals for their studies.
Further, confidence and patience are also essential qualities a tutor can have as students are looking for a knowledgeable tutor who can provide them with anything. Having confidence in your own teaching abilities provides the students with the assurance that they can excel in their own learning.
