- Explain complex concepts in ways that are easy to understand. - Adapt the difficulty of learning tasks so that they are a 'just right' challenge meaning the task is not too difficult for the student but also not too easy. - Provide a safe and supportive environment for the student to engage in the learning process and feel comfortable with making mistakes along the way - Build rapport with the student
