What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy the eureka moment. When the lightbulb goes off and the child feels they have conquered a mountain they never thought possible. There is no better job satisfaction than that, and helping the child to get to that point.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am very patient. I have a family member with dyslexia and dyspraxia which gives me great insight into the anxiety and stress Mathd can cause an individual and a household. I also have great experience teaching children for whom English isn’t there first language, and it’s just the realisation that English can be the holdback for so much talent. My awareness, patience, kindness and enthusiasm.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing is to be ready to present the concept in multiple ways and see which one best suits the child. Especially with Maths, there are many ways to get the correct answer, it’s just about finding the best route for each individual child.
