What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

What I would enjoy most about tutoring is helping people improve their confidence. When I was in year 11 last year I tutored a year 10 girl in business management, to see her gaining her confidence in the class as well as learning how to study effectively, while watching her marks and confidence increase was very rewarding.

My Strengths as Tutor πŸ’ͺ

Strong interpersonal skills which can make a student feel as comfortable as possible which means they will be more likely to engage with the session and take value from it. I am also highly patient and understand that perfection takes time, I would be happy to answer as many questions as possible as many times until they understand a concept!

Most important things I can do for a student πŸ…

Listen and be patient and understanding. Being understanding that a student doesn’t understand a concept or a subject and being willing to do what it takes to help them is the most important thing. It’s also the most productive thing as learning takes time, the student will trust and be comfortable if a tutor acts in this way and are therefore going to be likely to learn from the experience.
