What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy watching the happiness that comes when kids succeed after having struggled on a question previously. I like to see people's attitudes and approach (to math's for example), shift from a fixed to a growth mindset as they realize they are capable. It's nice then to see someone that you helped, help someone else because they feel confident and capable

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I can tutor Junior year Maths as well as year 10-12 Methods. I am currently finishing year 12 at Bentleigh Secondary College with outstanding academic results, along the way I have been helping my friends and other peers who know they can come to me for help regarding any problems they might have. Thus, I have years worth of classroom experience tutoring my peers. I love teaching people, as doing so also teaches myself, leading to a greater understanding of content and its applications.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

The most important things a tutor can do for a student is create a judgement free zone. We all know the feeling when we have asked someone for help and despite not understanding their clarification say that we do and that everything is fine. A judgement free zone is a space where students will ask questions until they are certain that they understand. Personally, I think any teacher or tutor has failed if they haven't created this opportunity to fail and try again and this means that the student isn't getting the help they need.
