I am a fully qualified primary school teacher from Ireland with 9 years of experience working in the education sector. I have worked abroad for a sustained period of time and during this period, was lucky enough to travel to a wide range of different countries. As a person, I am kind, patient, bubbly, energetic with strong moral values. I am an animal lover in addition to being a sports fan having played a range of sports growing up such as hockey, gaelic games in Ireland, gymnastics, athletics, and rugby.
I have nine years of teaching experience from working both in the Middle East as a teacher and in Ireland. I have worked in both private schools and disadvantaged schools in a range of settings including mainstream class settings, support settings, ASD classes, MGLD classes and Nurture classes. I have permanent status as a teacher and am currently on a career break this year as I live in Australia.
I have a Masters in Primary Education and graduated with a 1st Class Honors degree in this field. My thesis was on the importance of talk and discussion in mathematics and how integral it is in assisting understanding. I also have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. In addition to this, I have a Masters in Sustainability and a degree in Project Management. I have been involved in large scale environmental projects and campaigns over the last number of years both as a teacher and in other fields of work. Outside of school hours, I coached the school team in Gaelic Games.
