What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The most enjoyable aspect of being a tutor is the desire to help individuals comprehend challenging matters. I find happiness in solving intricate problems step by step until I know the other person understands the concept. It's incredibly rewarding to share my knowledge and watch others gain the confidence to accelerate in that subject.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I would say my strengths lie in explaining complex concepts by breaking them down into simpler, more manageable pieces. I am patient when somebody is struggling, and I always give them the time and support they may need to understand a topic fully. Having just studied for the HSC myself, I can easily place myself in somebody else's shoes and appreciate the kind of pressure that one may feel. Thus, this allows me to give empathetic, relevant guidance. I will be able to make the atmosphere positive and encouraging to raise their confidence and motivation.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do is play the role of reinforcing strengths to build confidence and strengthen a student's self-esteem, through constructive feedback. A tutor should explain complex concepts in simpler terms to make students understand them, at the same time encouraging self-thinking by guiding them towards how to find the solution themselves. One must adapt to the learning style of the student; the approach should be fitted to the needs of the student, and ultimately motivating them to always try their hardest.
