The most enjoyable aspect of being a tutor is the desire to help individuals comprehend challenging matters. I find happiness in solving intricate problems step by step until I know the other person understands the concept. I would say my strengths lie in explaining complex concepts by breaking them down into simpler, more manageable pieces. I am patient when somebody is struggling, and I always give them the time and support they may need to understand a topic fully. Having just studied for the HSC myself, I can easily place myself in somebody else's shoes and appreciate the kind of pressure that one may feel. Thus, this allows me to give empathetic, relevant guidance. The most important thing a tutor can do is play the role of reinforcing strengths to build confidence and strengthen a student's self-esteem, through constructive feedback. A tutor should explain complex concepts in simpler terms to make students understand them, at the same time encouraging self-thinking by guiding them towards how to find the solution themselves.
