What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The joy for me is supporting students with their specific goals enabling each to gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. Providing a calm and supportive learning space where the student can feel at ease to ask questions and take risks with their learning. I also really enjoy building a meaningful rapport with students and getting to know them, their interests, goals and dreams for themselves.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Understanding a student's barriers to learning (I have special education qualifications). Calm, patient, understanding and supportive. Ability to clarify learning intentions/instructions for individual students.  Modelling and demonstrating task requirements. Open and closed ended questions. Inviting feedback and reflection from students and areas for improvement or next steps. Organised and committed to my learner's success. Friendly and a sense of humour/fun. Experience in the Vic F-10 Curriculum, with a particular interest in primary school English and Maths.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to provide a personalised learning experience, communicate effectively, be patient and endeavour to build the learner's confidence and motivation so every learner achieves success.
