What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
The satisfaction when a student has an "Aha" moment and can do something that they previously had a lot of trouble doing. Additionally, being able to see a student gradually develop in confidence as their skills develop is also a pretty rewarding feeling.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths as a tutor is my ability to provide explanations that can explain the crucial components of a concept and gradually build on the complexity. I believe I have developed this skill thanks to my previous experience as a primary school teacher in NSW public schools (albeit conditionally accredited). In addition, I pride myself on being able to relate learning with individual student interests (again likely influenced somewhat by my primary teaching background) to spark student interest in the subject. Furthermore, I think being bilingual helps me connect with more students.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing for a tutor to do is to link the subject to individual student interest, as students (in my experience) have much better learning outcomes when they are engaged in the content and intrinsically motivated by some aspect of the question/subject.

About Michael
Why I love tutoring
The immense satisfaction in both the teacher and the student/s when the student realises they can achieve/understand a problem they previously were unable to do is very rewarding. Furthermore, I enjoy being able to provide the extra, targeted support that students may not be able to receive in a normal classroom environment.
Teaching/tutoring experience
I have previously been employed as a private tutor (Teaching English) for Year 9 and 10 students. Additionally, I have studied in a primary teaching degree for 5 years and was previously a casual teacher in NSW primary schools, mainly teaching Stage 1 and Stage 2 students.
