has good marks in certain areas, conceptually seems to understand topics

needs to work on his algebra fundementals mostly. this is whats holding him back. and should write out his thought process more, tries to do too much mentally

now has good idea of how to tackle optimization problems, from how to get the restriction and use it to help him solve the question. mostly good understanding of graphs cycles. covered hamilton cycles which was a point of interest last class

again it is mostly just algebra skills. its holding him back from asnwering questions at a better pace, and he needs to just write as he thinks as it will help him ensure he doesnt make arithmetic mistakes.

mikaela became more comfortable using tricks with factoring. from what i saw she seems comfortable with factoring by inpection, grouping and completing the square. the core concepts of each factoring method is not the problem

she just needs more practice doing more questions to build more consistency with the skills required as well as making sure there are less minor errors such as arithmetic.

student is able to understand ideas behind discriminants and where they come from. generally this student is good but most inaccuracies are a result of arithmetic/calculator issues or lack knowledge due to absence which is understandable

needs to make sure she double checks her arithmetic, as of the moment it seems to just be a lack of knowledge due to absence but the student in general is very capable of grasping the core concepts
