What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love breaking complex things down and when i teach, i always hope to make the student say “ooh, is that it? that’s so simpleâ€. That’s more than just motivation for me. That’s a sort of healthy, social adrenaline.
Additionally, there are so many more drivers that have been motivating me to consider tutoring a career option
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I use my iPad and my Apple pencil Extremely wisely. I make cartoons, memes and doodles on the weekly modules i prepare - All this to make the learners stay relaxed throughout the learning process while also letting them know that the concepts they’re about to learn can be understood “simplyâ€. If the digital textbooks are a battlefield, the Apple pencil is my sword.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A tutor, i believe, “should†(rather than just “canâ€) keep the learner relaxed. They should ensure that the learner fully understands every concept in stages (what i like to call ‘staged implementation’). I also believe that a tutor should go through the basics thoroughly before jumping into potentially more complex concepts
Questions are a tool - and both the tutor and the learner should use that tool to make learning more interesting (and less awkward).
Lastly, mindset is everything. The learner should see a tutor as a friend, and a session as a ‘discussion’ (rather than ‘tuition’)

About Vivekanantha
Let's make learning fun!
Ever heard of the phrase "learning is not exactly studying?". I haven't too, but i feel it'll make a good phrase. Here, we 'learn'. We learn through cartoons, we learn by breaking down concepts that are believed to be 'hard' into simple, understandable examples. We learn by engaging with one another. We learn by practice.
I use my iPad to make extremely useful notes that are both fun and productive to glance at.
